Casual Friday...

I know exactly what Casual Friday means to most people - a permission to wear jeans for work! I used to think exactly like that, I couldn't wait for Friday to arrive, not only for the obvious reason that it meant weekend was just some hours away, but also because it was the day I would wear jeans and most likely flats, the day I was allowed to dress as I would normally if I wasn't working. Well, things have changed - I now find myself rejecting more and more the idea of wearing jeans for work.

The way I see it, Casual Friday is the day when you are allowed to play a little bit more with your outfit, be a little bit bolder, push some bounderies, whilst still looking professional, smart and sophisticated!

So, here is my inspiration for this Friday -  a pair of loose, boyfriendish trousers, comfy but very elegant; a ladylike blouse with a beautiful neckline; colourful bangles and studs for a little bit of colour block and a fun vibe; gorgeous pumps that make you feel stunningly powerful; a clutch to contrast with the XL handbag you usually carry to work, and give a je ne sais quoi element to the whole outfit.

What I love most about this outfit? It is perfect for work and perfect for drinks with friends after work :)

I dream about the day I would go to work with those sandals!!!!! (and I live 2 min walking distance away from the office) :P
Or with bangles by the way. I always fell they are too noisy when you're trying to write at your computer?! Is there a secret to solve this issue?

The blouse is simply gorgeous!
Love it!

@Kleopatra - amiga, trust me, you know I am a huge sucker for XL handbags, and more than a passion they are an actually need. But there is nothing quite as liberating as carrying nothing but the bare essential. That's why i absolutely adore clutches, plus they are so stylish, so they are totally worth the effort! And they are a huge contrast for workwear, and I love that! Just try it and let me know how it goes ;)

@Mirabilisc - my love, I know this probably isn't the answer you were looking for but, to the best of my knowledge, there really isn't a solution for wearing bangles to work - yes, they will make a lot of noise and keep banging against your desk, your keyboard...but do I stop wearing them for work? Never! My solution? I just take them off when I am seating and working on the computer, if I need to get up I just put them back. I know it seems like a lot of work just to be able to wear bangles for work, but again, fashion is not always practical, it is fashion and it is so much fun :)
