One-piece joy...

Every single year, with the first hint that Summer is just around the corner, and the happiness and excitement that automatically grow inside each and any of us, I find myself looking at my Winter wardrobe with boredom – I just can’t wait to replace every coat and turtlenecks with colourful, light summer dresses.

This year, however, something else will definitely be added to my Summer wardrobe – of course I will still keep my lovely dresses, can’t and won’t live without them, they are such an easy way to look feminine and stylish. But, there’s a new kid in town, the wonderful playsuit :)

Perfect for either day or night, it is simply cool and oh so fun! It is girly with a touch of sensuality, it makes you feel both comfy and elegant, it allows you to show and embrace your playful side, it doesn’t take fashion too serious and neither should you :)

Well, here are some whimsical choices:

Street Wisdom II...

On my first “Street Wisdom” post, I shared with you my intention – take photos of random people on the streets of London (or whichever city I was rambling around for that matter) whose style caught my attention for some reason.

But once again I have failed to do so – the person I have chosen for this second post on “Street Wisdom” is not a stranger, she is in fact one of my closest friends. Remember that dinner I mentioned on my previous post? Well, I was still getting ready when she entered my room, and it was one of those moments when it takes you less than a second to look and be amazed at someone’s outfit. She looked so stylish and feminine – simply gorgeous.

Few things can beat the skinny jeans/silk blouse/heels combo – it is wonderfully simple but ever so elegant. And, funny enough, it isn’t as easy to pull off as one may think.

The romantic and delicate blouse with the ruffles detail, the beautifully girly heels with the bow detail and the dark skinny – again, gorgeous! And this outfit pretty much represents Cristina’s style : romantic and feminine!

I just wish the photos were of a better quality...

Mismatch...

Yes, I know, it has been a while – please let me apologise for my long absence but I really needed these three weeks of me-time. Well, but I’m back now and you have no idea how much I missed blogging!

And to celebrate my comeback I decided to share with you the outfit I wore last week for an amazing dinner with my dearest friends.

I bought these trousers a year ago and it was definitely love at first sight – the delicate fabric, the romantic pattern, the flattering design. But, for some reason, I have always struggled to pair it with a top – I have tried going for something really simple, like a plain tank top, or something more classic, like a silk blouse or even something a bit darker, like an off-shoulder long sleeves black top, but never managed to feel completed  happy with the end result.

And then I came across this simple but cute top – and, like I always do before purchasing something new, I did a mental search through my wardrobe, trying to find a bottom to pair with the top. And, almost immediately, this outfit was born. I love the idea of putting together completely different patterns – I feel they both fight and try to steal the scene but don’t quite manage to do so, they both play the role of main character. And for the very first time, I was utterly happy with the end result J

I could have chosen simpler shoes, but that wouldn’t be me – you know by now how I feel about shoes, I like them to have their very own spotlight, instead of being a mere accessory. I am deeply in love with these shoes – I have a weak spot for studs and I definitely have a weak spot for “Lou Lous” (aka Louboutins J).

Please apologise the quality of the photos – I forgot my camera and had to take them with my phone.
